Working with Storage

Disks and storage capacity in your tenant.

Storage in DAAKYI Cloud is delivered as virtual disks attached to your virtual machines, drawn from the storage capacity assigned to your tenant.

Typical storage tasks

  • View the disks attached to each VM and their sizes
  • Track storage quota consumption from your dashboard
  • Add or expand disks within your quota where enabled
  • Use snapshots before risky changes where enabled for your tenant

Expanding storage

Expanding a virtual disk makes more capacity available to the VM; the file system inside the guest usually needs to be extended separately by your team. If your tenant has reached its storage quota, see Requesting Additional Resources.

Deleting a disk permanently removes its data. Confirm backups exist before removing storage from any workload.
